Do you see any errors in your console?

Does your console say the following anywhere?
    Code (text):
    [Connect] Connected to the cloud.
Also, do you see any repeated messages in your console from something called [Connect]? If you do not see either of those, please look through your console for a LilyPad error.

That's the problem. No messages were coming up. I tested it with one of the premade servers which showed the server got connected but those were in 1.7.9 and when I switched it to the spigot 1.8 or 1.8.3 None of them ever showed up as connecting.

Double check version's of LilyPad-connect so that they can run with your Minecraft Server Version. In the console it says it might be an unsupported version: "[Connect] Unable to start plugin - unsupported version?". This error is located on your minecraft server itself. So what I recommend, save your configs, delete your old Jar files and configs, download latest Lilypad Connect and put it in and start it up. If it shows an error then it is with the minecraft version, if it doesn't then you had an error in your config file. Let us know if this works!

Had that same error. All I did was to get an updated version of LilyPad-Connect. But a private one, since the ones on Jenkins here did not work with my 1.8.3 version of Spigot.

Ive just installed minecraft 1.8.3 with the latest bukkit connect, maybe one of your plugin is interfering with connect?

I already downloaded the newest version I was starting from scratch when I did this... like I said before it didnt even work with the premade servers,

Where can I get that version you got?

Are you using spigot like he and I are?

Hey I'm sorry for sort of "necroing" this thread (even though it's only almost a month old) but I'm having the same problem, except it does give me the "Connected to cloud message" My spigot version shows as is:
"This server is running CraftBukkit version git-Spigot-2ec6f06-7722428 (MC: 1.8.3) (Implementing API version 1.8.3-R0.1-SNAPSHOT)"
Because the problem is so similar, I didn't want to make a new thread just for this.

I downloaded the Bukkit-Connect updated for 1.8.3 (And have tried ones not for 1.8.3)
I have a regular 1.8 server running and working just fine, and have tried the Bukkit-Connect from them
When I try to use /server (LilyPad-PortalCommand) in game, it doesn't show anything in game or in the console, no "Server is Offline!" message, just nothing. Nothing on the other server's console either.
My Proxy/Connect are up to date. Has anyone else had this problem?

Make sure the setting in the server properties file is set online mode to true. LilyPad works diffenetly and doesnt require you to set each server to offline mode

Thank you for your response. The server is set to online mode.

So did it fix it or still the same error?

Sorry for the very long response, but I never received an email saying I got a response so I didn't check up.

No, it is still not working. No error in logs, just doesn't work.
