Running multiple versions

    Hello,

    I am just wondering if it would be possible to run LilyPad on 1.6 and 1.7. And also that you can see each other . So for example, I am logging into my network on 1.7 and a friend on 1.6. I saw this on on multiple servers.

    I know that this won't help if you are running a Survival server ;).

    That would be a really cool feature to have with lily pad, if anyone is willing to try this out, some examples are Hypixel, and The Over Cast Network. I have also been looking around other forums to maybe see if it would be an easy fix, haven't seen much for 1.6 to 1.7. But between the 1.6's, the plugin fakes the version number of the players. I have no idea how they would do that, but thats all the information I got on my little research.

    This would take way too much effort to code, and only really works for minigame servers :p

    And how can i use that with LilyPad. Cause LilyPad is the cloud where you need to connect to..

    @chasechocolate I have looked into this, and compiled the resource, but it seems to be only 1.6. You wouldn't happen to have a link to the 1.6/1.7 version?

    I have contacted @chasechocolate and he doesn't necessarily know. I looked into it, compiled it and everything, and what he speaks of is only 1.6, not 1.7. There is currently no public build for anything similar.

    It wouldn't be worth it, the second a stable 1.7 come out, within a week no one will be on 1.6.

    If a developer wanted to do this, he'd create a library first. After he does that, he's unlocked a great ability of allowing all clients to join of any version ;)
